
About
Jan K. Seigel, Esq., earned his undergraduate and law degrees from Georgetown and a Master of Laws from New York University. After a judicial clerkship for the Passaic County Civil Assignment Judge and four years as an Assistant Prosecutor, he founded the firm in 1976. Mr. Seigel has tried over 150 jury trials and has won a landmark case in the New Jersey Supreme Court. Mr. Seigel was chosen “Young Lawyer of the Year” by the New Jersey State Bar Association and inducted into the New Jersey Police Honor Legion for his representation of police officers. He has received a number of legal honors including, Who’s Who in American Law as well as being included on the New Jersey Monthly list of Super Lawyer Honorees. He is a frequent lecturer for law schools and legal organizations in the U.S.
Mr. Seigel is a faculty member with the Center for International Legal Studies headquartered in Salzburg, Austria. He has taught Trial Law in Poland, Lithuania, Ukraine, and Russia. He has been awarded the gold medal for Outstanding Teaching from the National University of Law in Odessa. In recognition of his expertise, the United States Department of States sponsored Mr. Seigel to teach trial law to a select group of Ukrainian law professors in a summer program in Kiev in 2017.
