Jan K. Seigel founded the firm in 1976. He made a name for himself for his victories in the courtroom. Having tried over 150 jury trials, he is known for winning multi-million dollar recoveries in auto, trucking, and fall down cases. His verdicts and settlements have earned him recognition as:

After earning undergrad and law degrees from Georgetown and a Master of Laws from NYU, Mr. Seigel honed his trial skills as a prosecutor, where he tried a number of murder cases. Early in his career he was awarded the prestigious 'Young Lawyer of the Year' by the New Jersey State Bar.

He has lectured and taught law in colleges and universities both in the United States and Europe as well as being named a Fulbright Specialist.

  • Prosecuted three murder cases while Passaic County Prosecutor including 1st Degree Murder Conviction.
  • In defending an attorney in disbarment action, successfully argued before the New Jersey Supreme Court, which carved out an exception to automatic disbarment for misappropriation of trust funds.
  • $17.9 million dollar recovery on behalf of the 16-year-old girl injured by electrical malfunction.
